Our Story

OUR MISSION 


At Puffy Paws, we specialize in caring for cats with unique needs—those that many other shelters would consider unadoptable. We offer a cage-free, free-roaming, and loving home for:

  • Feline Leukemia & FIV cats
  • Senior kitties
  • Abused or neglected cats
  • Cats with disabilities (e.g., one-eyed, neurological issues, etc.)
  • Feral cats and those with behavioral problems

We believe every cat deserves love, regardless of their challenges, and work hard to ensure they have a safe, forever home.


A Loving Home  


The Kingston family—Chrissy and Rick—have opened their hearts and their beautiful home to these kitties. Puffy Paws isn’t just a shelter; it’s a sanctuary. The Haven spans two large buildings, over 3,600 square feet, designed to cater to each cat's unique needs.

No-Kill, Always Compassionate  

Puffy Paws is committed to a No-Kill philosophy. We never euthanize due to behavior, space, or adoptability issues. We provide medical care for each cat and ensure they are never in pain without hope of recovery. 

Our commitment to saving lives has made us a beacon of hope for thousands of unwanted cats.

The heart behind Puffy Paws Kitty Haven, Rick is deeply involved in fundraising and raising awareness to support the haven. Rick works to secure the resources needed to provide lifelong care, comfort, and safety for every special needs and unwanted cat that calls Puffy Paws home. Rick's dedication ensures that these cats receive the love and support they deserve. 

Chrissy Kingston

Co-Founder

The heart and soul of Puffy Paws, Chrissy dedicates every day to caring for the cats. She knows each and every one of them personally, tending to their unique needs with love and patience. From early morning to restless nights, her commitment ensures that every cat at Puffy Paws receives the comfort, care, and attention they deserve.
